Course Description


The PVM Smart Learning Assessed Professional Oil Trader training course is an interactive oil learning experience delivered by industry experts. Over five days delegates are coached on trading concepts and trained through computer-enhanced trading simulations. The course has been designed for those interested in a career in trading and all support staff in oil-related roles who wish to gain in-depth knowledge of the front-line trader function, risk management and hedging strategies. It covers oil market fundamentals together with physical, paper and technical trading concepts plus an introduction to FX trading. Training is structured as interactive presentations followed by work on electronic trading simulations based on realistic market scenarios to emphasise key learning points and to capture the essentials of real and complex trading scenarios. Delegates trade individually with additional opportunities to work in teams and participate in face to face negotiation exercises. The programme runs with a maximum of 14 delegates to ensure the high level of individual coaching and assessment for which this course is renowned.
